No, I do not accept insurance at this time.

This is a great question, and I want to be transparent about why I've chosen not to work with insurance companies.
Here's the reality:
Insurance companies typically only cover Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) provided by Registered Dietitians (RDs) for specific diagnosed medical conditions. As a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor with a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition, my credentials and approach don't fit within the traditional insurance model—and honestly, that's by design.
What insurance would require me to do:
• Limit sessions to 30-45 minutes (not enough time to truly understand your story)
• Focus only on diagnosed disease states (ignoring prevention and root causes)
• Follow standardized protocols rather than personalized approaches
• Obtain medical diagnoses before providing support
• Limit the number of sessions regardless of your needs
• Spend significant time on billing and paperwork instead of focused care
What I do instead:
• Spend 90 minutes on our initial consultation getting to know your whole story
• Work with you whether you have a formal diagnosis or not
• Dig deep into root causes, not just manage diagnosed conditions
• Create truly personalized nutrition plans based on your bioindividuality
• Offer flexible session lengths and frequencies based on what you need
• Focus my time and energy on YOU, not insurance paperwork
The bottom line: Taking insurance would fundamentally change the type of care I can provide. It would prevent me from doing the deep, personalized, root-cause work that functional nutrition is all about. I believe you deserve more than what the insurance model allows.

Great question! Here are the key differences:
Registered Dietitians (RDs):
• Licensed to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
• Typically work within the medical model treating diagnosed conditions
• Often covered by insurance for specific disease states
• Follow standardized nutrition protocols
• May have limited time per session (15-45 minutes)
Certified Functional Nutrition Counselors (like me):
• Take a functional nutrition approach focused on root causes
• Work with you whether you have a diagnosis or not
• Focus on prevention and optimization, not just disease management
• Create highly personalized plans based on bioindividuality
• Spend more time understanding your whole story (life events, patterns, history)
• Not bound by insurance restrictions, so I can truly customize your care
Both are valuable! RDs are essential for medical nutrition therapy. I focus on functional nutrition—understanding why your body is responding the way it is and supporting it to restore balance.

Functional nutrition is an approach that:
• Looks at the body as an interconnected system (not isolated symptoms)
• Seeks to understand root causes rather than just managing symptoms
• Recognizes that we're all bioindividual—what works for one person may not work for another
• Considers your whole story: genetics, environment, stress, sleep, digestion, hormones, and more
• Focuses on using real, whole foods as medicine
• Supports your body's natural ability to heal and restore balance
It's about asking "why is this happening?" instead of just "what symptoms do you have?"
-
A discovery call is a free, no-pressure conversation where we:
• Talk about what you're experiencing and where you want to be
• Discuss whether my approach aligns with what you're looking for
• Go over which package option would best support your goals
• Answer any questions you have about how we'd work together
• Discuss investment and payment options
There's no obligation to move forward—it's truly just a conversation to see if we're a good fit.

This varies from person to person because we're all bioindividual. Some women notice changes within the first few weeks—more energy, better sleep, improved digestion. Others see changes unfold more gradually over several months.
Here's what I can tell you:
• Sustainable change takes time. We're not doing quick fixes; we're supporting your body to restore balance.
• Small changes compound. You might not notice dramatic shifts at first, but looking back after a few months, you'll likely see significant progress.
• Your body has its own timeline. Some systems respond quickly (like digestion), while others (like hormones) can take 3-6 months to shift.
I'm here to support you through the process and adjust our approach as needed.
